Throughout the Holy Scriptures, there are multiple stories of God’s people having life-changing encounters with Him in the wilderness and with nature, including Jesus himself. Here, we like to bring attention to the raw beauty that is the nature and character of Almighty God, as we stand in awe of who He is, and who He has made us to be in HIM.

Sarah Portner is a West Virginia writer, mother, and storyteller whose poetry explores themes of grief, healing, faith, and the quiet beauty of the Appalachian landscape. Rooted in personal experience and spiritual reflection, her work weaves moments of motherhood, loss, and wonder into expressions of resilience and hope.
